CEO of The Year 2022: Guido Terreni, Parmigiani Fleurier

It has been a phenomenal year for the watch world. To round off 2022, we are celebrating the hits, the wonders, the visionaries and all the people in watchmaking who have made it so memorable in our annual Revolution Awards and Power Lists.

Guido Terreni has, in a few short years, made his mark on Parmigiani Fleurier plain to see. Which is why he’s the winner of our CEO of the Year award.

The man who has single-handedly helmed one of the most extraordinary acts of transformation in the luxury watch industry is none other than Guido Terreni. Upon joining Parmigiani Fleurier, he was handed a brand with some of the greatest watchmaking acumen in the world, but with a low desirability hampered by confusing design. Terreni set about creating not just the best timepieces Parmigiani Fleurier has ever made, but also one of the greatest integrated bracelet sports watch designs of all time with his Tonda PF family.

Surely a sign of its design perfection — the exquisite miniature guilloché pattern on the dial

He brilliantly tapped into the brand’s source code of ultra minimalism, combined with incredibly rich nuanced detail like micro-fluted bezels, micro-patterned dials and some of the most beautiful lugs around. And with that, he has changed everything.

Now the wait-list for any Tonda PF is staggering and it is all down to his brilliance.
