For most of us in the U.S., April 15 was tax day, but for some lucky bidders, it was a chance to acquire a fine timepiece at Antiquorum’s spring sale in New York City. The auction took place at the company’s new U.S. headquarters, located at 805 Third Ave. The sale totaled $2,547,875, with 107% of the 272 timepieces sold by value.

The top lot was the Patek Philippe Ref. 5102 Celestial. Made in 2006 and sold the following year, this piece in 18k white gold was sold with its original fitted wood box and a leather folder with technical information and instructions. The hammer price was $231,750. (All prices include premiums).

The limited edition diver’s watch with date and power reserve brought $27,500, more than twice its presale estimate.
