Naoya Hida Unveils New Perpetual Calendar In 2025 Lineup
For fans of Naoya Hida & Co., their first perpetual calendar marks an exciting leap forward. In just a few years, the Tokyo-based independent has built a reputation for doing things differently. Producing only five to ten pieces per model annually, their watches are studies in restraint, precision, and traditional handcraft. Each detail, from the hand-engraved Roman numerals to the beautifully balanced case proportions, reflects a reverence for early 20th-century watchmaking, brought into the present with a distinctly Japanese lens.
NH TYPE 6A, the first perpetual calendar
Leading the 2025 collection is the NH TYPE 6A, the first-ever perpetual calendar watch from Naoya Hida & Co.. The watch features the newly developed Cal.3025PC movement created in collaboration with renowned watchmaking houses Habring2 and Dubois Dépraz.
Main hours and calendar functions are displayed on a sterling silver (Argentium) dial, a material chosen for its resistance to tarnishing, and serves as the canvas for master engraver Keisuke Kano’s exceptional hand-engraved work. Every Roman numeral and indication on the sub-dials displaying the month, date, day of the week, and leap year cycle has been individually hand-carved, creating a depth and character impossible to achieve through machine production. The watch features elegant 18K yellow gold hour and minute hands that contrast beautifully with the blued steel used for the calendar indicators.
The strap is hand-stitched and crafted by THE SOLE, featuring a leather surface in ILCEA Radica Russian leather and a lining made from Perlinger Noblesse calf leather.

New iterations in the NH TYPE 3B and NH TYPE 5A lineups
Building on the success of their existing collection is the NH TYPE 3B-3, an evolution of the NH TYPE 3B that has been in production since 2022. This new iteration replaces the stainless steel case with one crafted from 18K yellow gold.
The most stunning feature is the new NH TYPE 3B-3 is the moon phase complication at 6 o’clock, which now features a lapis lazuli disc representing the night sky, against which a hand-engraved 18K yellow gold moon face travels. These details contrast the German silver dial, which provides a perfect backdrop for the eleven hand-engraved Roman numerals.
The watch is limited to a production of just five pieces between 2025 and 2026.

The watch’s vintage-inspired character complements other nostalgic details such as the three-dimensional crystal shape, concave dolphin hands, and hand-engraved indices
The third new release, the NH TYPE 5A-1, represents a thoughtful modification to last year’s NH TYPE 5A dress watch. While maintaining the elegant small rectangular case that has become a signature of the model, this new iteration replaces the sapphire crystal with a specially manufactured acrylic glass created using a custom mold.
The two-part German silver dial keeps it legible with hand-engraved Breguet Arabic and triangular bar indexes. The strap is hand-stitched and crafted by Jean Rousseau, featuring a surface of premium ostrich leather with a calf leather lining on the reverse side.
