Universal Genève Is Back: Three Unique SAS Polerouters | Part II

In 2023, Breitling CEO Georges Kern acquired Universal Genève, setting the stage for its grand return in 2026. To mark this historic revival, Kern orchestrated a special celebration on the 70th anniversary of Scandinavian Airlines Systems (SAS) inaugural flight from Copenhagen to Los Angeles—an iconic journey that crossed the North Pole for the first time on November 15, 1954.

Kern invited an exclusive group, including Wei Koh, to retrace history by flying to the exact airport where the original flight took place. There, he unveiled three unique SAS tribute Polerouters, each honoring the legacy of the original design while celebrating the timeless spirit of exploration and innovation.

In this exclusive two-part series, Wei Koh sits down with Georges Kern, CEO of Universal Genève, and Gregory Bruttin, Managing Director of the brand, to explore the vision and strategy behind the revival of one of the most beloved names in watchmaking.
