Today will see Watches of Knightsbridge hold its June sale (24th June at 11am GMT+1). As it’s a general sale, the catalogue contains everything from a dainty, stone set, yellow-gold Piaget cocktail watch (lot 272) to a 55mm, Laco B-Uhr Laco Luftwaffe watch (lot 159).
Despite the level of variety, two strong(ish) themes are apparent throughout the lots on offer. Vintage, accessibly priced chronographs. In particular well designed Yemas dating from the 1960s/70s — and military-issued wrist watches — from the likes of Lemania, Longines, Tudor, Omega, Leonidas and many more.
