It’s been 85 years since the creation of the Reverso watch; and the anniversary brings a bountiful harvest of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s most iconic watch, with Reverso One, Reverso Classic and Reverso Tribute in various styles and movements, and the Atelier Reverso, where anything goes.

For women, three models with quartz and mechanical movements, ranging from dreamy, fun to classy; all elegant.

Reverso One Cordonnet. How does one take something as seriously elegant as the Reverso, and make it casual and playful? With two-tone case in pink gold and steel, matched with leather cord-strap. Quartz movement, in steel case (33.8 mm x 16.3 x 7.0 mm).

Reverso One Duetto Moon. A mechanical movement will require greater care but it’s worth it, for the lady who appreciates mechanical finesse. On the front is a silvered dial with Arabic numerals, yet a flip of the case reveals a second watch face, a beautiful mother-of-pearl moon phase display against choice of dark blue or chestnut enamel. Hand wound movement with 38 hours power reserve, steel or pink gold case (40.1 mm x 20.0 x 10.0 mm).

Single-dial Reverso models have long been open to customisation through their casebacks; the Atelier opens that door for dual-faced Duo and Duetto models. The options are plenty, including gem-setting, and stone dials of myriad colours. To start the ball rolling, Christian Louboutin has been commissioned to create a set of custom proposals, which will be available just for 2016.
