On the front is a silvered dial with Arabic numerals, yet a flip of the case reveals a second watch face, a beautiful mother-of-pearl moon phase display against choice of dark blue or chestnut enamel. Hand wound movement with 38 hours power reserve, steel or pink gold case (40.1 mm x 20.0 x 10.0 mm).

Single-dial Reverso models have long been open to customisation through their casebacks; the Atelier opens that door for dual-faced Duo and Duetto models. The options are plenty, including gem-setting, and stone dials of myriad colours. To start the ball rolling, Christian Louboutin has been commissioned to create a set of custom proposals, which will be available just for 2016.
