SIHH 2016: Audemars Piguet Novelties
Deeply steeped in tradition, Audemars Piguet has all the credibility it needs to push the boundaries of authentic, modern watchmaking. At SIHH, this was what the manufacture pursued, notably in gold watches, jewellery watches and fundamental re-engineering. Some highlights…

Quartz movement, white gold case and bracelet entirely set with diamonds (26.14ct including those on the dial), blackened gold hands.
[vc_text_separator title=”Royal Oak Concept Supersonnerie”]
Manual-wind minute repeater movement with tourbillon and chronograph, 42-hour power reserve. 44mm titanium case water resistant to 20m.
[vc_text_separator title=”Royal Oak in Yellow Gold”]
Perpetual Calendar, 41mm
Chronograph, 41mm
Self-winding, 37mm
Quartz, 33mm
The Royal Oak’s defining moment was as a luxury watch in stainless steel. Still, it looks at least as wonderful basking in the warm glow of yellow gold, in either blue of silvered dials. Models include perpetual calendar, chronograph, automatic and quartz models.
[vc_text_separator title=”Royal Oak Double Balance Wheel Openworked”]
Pink Gold, 41mm
Staineless Steel, 41mm
Double balance wheel
A world’s-first, not one but a pair of balance wheels and balance springs are affixed on the same axis to achieve greater stability, consistency and hence precision in the beating of the movement’s regulator.

Diamonds, onyx, white gold case
Diamonds, onyx, pearls, pink gold case
Two new jewellery models were introduced; stunners, with movement architecture blending into the dial design.
