Introducing five new REVOLUTION and Grail Watch Arabia Exclusive Limited Editions

Share

Our very first capsule collection is dedicated to all our friends from the Middle East and who love high watchmaking as much as we do. Making their debut at Dubai Watch Week 2023, these watches will take the spotlight at our Revolution & Grail Watch collector’s session on 18th November at 9:30pm GST.
In our pursuit to realize our horological dreams and create some of the most compelling timepieces we could ever imagine, we have long desired to combine exhilarating high complication timepieces with Hindu-Arabic numerals. This dream has finally come true this year, with not one but four amazing brand partners who have entrusted us with their iconic designs.

So we are extremely proud to announce the very first Revolution and Grail Watch Arabic Capsule Collection featuring the Angelus x Alain Silberstein U11 Streamline Tourbillon, the Christiaan van der Klaauw Planetarium, the Franck Muller Double Sided Rattrapante Panda, the Ludovic Ballouard et Fils Upside Down “Series Gaga”, and Schwarz Etienne x Kari Voutilainen Roma Synergy — all with Hindu-Arabic numerals.

These five beautiful models will meet the public for the first time at Dubai Watch Week 2023 where we will host Great Minds: Revolution Arabia Exclusive Limited Editions — a dedicated horology symposium curated for the watch enthusiast.

Together with the CEO of Angelus, Bertrand Savary, CEO of Christiaan van der Klaauw, Pim Koeslag, Co-CEO of Schwarz Etienne, Walter Ribaga, and Ludovic Ballouard himself, they will join Revolution and Grail Watch founder Wei Koh, along with our Arabia representatives, Abdulla Al Shaer and Omar Traboulsi, for an in-depth conversation revisiting the creation of these special edition watches.

Grail Watch 7: Angelus × Alain Silberstein U11 Streamline Tourbillon in Titanium

Grail Watch 7: Angelus x Alain Silberstein U11 Streamline Tourbillon is not a watch for the faint of heart, but a watch that transforms time telling into thought-provoking kinetic sculpture. And on that basis, it is deeply compelling.

With a uniquely elongated case measuring 60.75mm x 37.64mm crafted from grade 5 titanium, this watch now returns to the fore, adorned with elegant white Hindu-Arabic numerals over a galvanized black sandblasted dial. Priced at CHF 68,000, only four pieces will be produced in this highly exclusive series.

Says Alain Silberstein, “The U11 Streamline Tourbillon is perhaps my most daring watch yet, as it seemingly disconnects the tourbillon, which is the heart of the watch, from both the dial and movement itself, allowing it to pulsate in a dedicated aperture, in a manner that evokes a man with his heart disconnected from his body.”

REVOLUTION × Christiaan van der Klaauw Planetarium in Titanium

Featuring the smallest mechanical planetarium in the world, the Christiaan van der Klaauw Planetarium displays in real time the orbital journeys of Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn around the Sun. Through an off-centered dial it also displays the hours, minutes, date and month, and everything is set against a glittering backdrop made of shimmering dark blue aventurine glass — like a midnight sky full of stars.
In this edition, the Revolution x Christiaan van der Klaauw Planetarium is cased in titanium and comes with an engraved caseback. The planets within the celestial complication display are also coated with different colored lume, so they glow in a spectrum of different hues in the dark.

This timepiece comes with white rhodium-plated applied Hindu-Arabic indexes — a first for Christiaan van der Klaauw.

Grail Watch 10: Ludovic Ballouard et Fils Upside Down “Series Gaga” in Platinum

If you’ve ever seen the stunning movement of the Upside Down watch, then you’re seeing one of the most original conceptions in high watchmaking. The complications uses 12 individual hour markers fixed to mobile disks and attached to Maltese crosses.

Each time a Maltese cross turns 180 degrees, a new hour flips right side up while the previous one goes back upside down. Visually, you can identify which hour is right side up, thanks to a dot on the hour disk, which is otherwise hidden under the watch’s rehaut when upside down.

Ludovic Ballouard’s first creation for Grail Watch, incorporating artwork by his young son, is a symbol of all the love and blessings he has received in his life. The hand coloring on the dial was created by his son Gabriel when he was three years old and represents what Ballouard hopes is the first of many collaborations between father and son.

In this new and exclusive souscription series, the Grail Watch 10: Ludovic Ballouard et Fils Upside Down “Series Gaga” features artful Hindu-Arabic numerals embossed on the mobile disks.

Schwarz Etienne × Kari Voutilainen Roma Synergy

Revolution has teamed up with Schwarz Etienne and Kari Voutilainen to create a debonair silver fox. Our Roma Synergy limited edition features a solid gold dial, hand-guilloche finished by the master Voutilainen with a wavy Soleil pattern for the outer ring, Écaille de Poisson” for the darkened centre dial, and a Vague wave pattern for the seconds sub dial.

Complimenting the luxurious grey and silver tones are three Eastern Arabic indices and six baton indices, all in black PVD-treated gold and hand-applied.

The regulating organ and hairspring powering the in-house ASE 200.00 calibre are manufactured entirely by Schwarz Etienne. Traditional hand-guilloche emanates from the balance wheel, and the snailing on the ratchet wheel are both expertly executed by Les Ateliers Kari Voutilainen, along with the black PVD-treatment of the micro-rotor.

Grail Watch: Franck Muller Double Sided Rattrapante Panda in Stainless Steel

This double-sided chronograph is powered by the historically significant, Valjoux-based Caliber 7000, one of master watchmaker Franck Muller’s most highly lauded creations. It features a second dial at the back with three different scales that can be easily read.

Furthermore, the double-sided chronograph is not a standard one but a rattrapante or split seconds chronograph. And if you haven’t noticed it by now, the hours and minutes are shown via the off-centered display at six o’clock, thus shining the full spotlight on the chronograph and rattrapante hands.

In this Arabic exclusive limited edition, we went with a panda style chronograph featuring black sub-dials against a beautiful pale silver dial completed with a stunning grené finish.
SuperLumiNova touches can also be seen on the back center dial and outer ring. Most alluringly, this watch comes with Hindu-Arabic numerals on not one but two sides, appearing in the tachymeter scale, the minutes track, the sub-dials, as well as the pulsometer scale on the back.
