Phillips Watches Announce Geneva Auctions in November
But first, before we dive in to talk about the one highlight piece that is being unveiled this morning for the Geneva auctions in November, it’s probably a good thought to consider the many things that the auction house has already achieved within the year thus far.
We focus first on the START-STOP-RESET thematic sale on the 14th of May 2016, where 88 exceptional stainless steel chronographs were offered up. All pieces were sold under the hammer with an outstanding Rolex ref. 4113 setting the record for the highest result ever achieved for any Rolex sold at auction: CHF 2,405,000. The same sale also set another record for the highest price achieved for a Paul Newman Daytona, a ref. 6263 RCO dial no less, that sold for a staggering CHF 1,985,000. (Read all of our recent Paul Newman Daytona coverage here, here and here.)
Time now to make notes in your calendar and then, sit tight and watch Bacs & Russo light up the auction records once again.
