As 2017 draws to a close, online monolith Mr Porter continues to become an ever-greater presence on the watch retail scene. On 14 November this year, the fashion retailer launched a capsule collection of watches from luxury watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre. Continuing its ascent to the top of the men’s style industry, the award-winning digital powerhouse has recently expanded its repertoire of fine watches with a curated selection of 27 timepieces from the Swiss brand’s Reverso, Master, Master Extreme, Geophysic and Duomètre collections.

The launch features four watches from the Reverso family, undoubtedly the brand’s most iconic range, which exude the refined elegance and sophistication that Jaeger-LeCoultre achieves in all of its timepieces. It also includes two watches from the Geophysic range, including the True Second and Universal Time, and one from the highly complicated and intricately designed Duomètre collection: the Duomètre Quantième Lunaire.

Additionally, 15 timepieces from the Master collection will be sold via the site – with highlights from the Master Ultra-Thin including the Perpetual and Tourbillon novelties, Master Control, Master Geographic, Master Calendar, Master Memovox and Master Chronograph families. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s limited-edition Atmos 568 clock, a stunning, modern reinvention of the Atmos Classique, will also be available.
Mr Porter launched in February 2011. It has since established itself as a world-leading retail destination for men’s style, with an unparalleled product offering from the world’s best menswear and luxury brands – including Saint Laurent, Gucci, Brunello Cucinelli, Moncler and Acne Studios among many others. And following a titally curated approach to selling, Mr Porter complements its best-in-class menswear with ever-growing, industry-advancing categories, such as lifestyle, grooming, performance, sport, and since 2013, fine watches – a category first introduced with the launch of a collection of Bremont timepieces.

Additionally, the brand has created a “Mr Porter world” via editorial content published through its weekly digital magazine, The Journal, its bimonthly newspaper, The Mr Porter Post, and its bite-sized digital news source, The Daily, providing customers with unrivalled style and fashion advice. This is something that Revolution founder, Wei Koh has long championed and deems to be the future of online retail.

Toby Bateman, Managing Director of Mr Porter, says: “We are excited to be launching with Jaeger-LeCoultre, a brand synonymous with craftsmanship and elegance. This is a great opportunity for the discerning global Mr Porter customer to dive into the world of a true fine-watch manufacturer; providing each with a deeper knowledge and offering from our ever-growing fine-watch category.”

Jaeger-LeCoultre has an illustrious history as one of the leading Swiss fine watch manufacturers. Its collections are created with a natural, deep-rooted elegance and functionality, alongside strong design aesthetics, thus making them uniquely recognisable. Its timepieces have been engineered in the Swiss town of Le Sentier (where Patek Phillipe is also based) since it was founded there in 1833.

Nicolas Sirez, CMO of Jaeger-LeCoultre, says on the longevity of the Swiss brand’s success: “For 185 years, Jaeger-LeCoultre has been at the forefront of innovation in watchmaking and creating exceptional watches that suit the lifestyles of our clients around the world. We are delighted to now be able to offer our collection on Mr Porter, a leading destination for the wardrobe of today’s elegant man.”

Mr Porter’s offering of fine watches has grown in depth and diversity over the years, and news of its most recent launch suggests it will continue to do so.

Following the success of the exclusive Kingsman x TAG Heuer launch earlier this year, the site has expanded its collaboration with the avant-garde of Swiss watchmaking TAG Heuer, with a curated selection of more than 30 timepieces from the brand’s iconic Carrera, Aquaracer, Formula 1, Monaco, Autavia, and Connected Modular 45 models.
