Introducing the Full Metal G-SHOCK GMW-B5000CS with Grid Design
G-SHOCK first launched their all metal GMW-B5000 in 2018. Since then the brand has ventured into various different directions to create ever more refreshing takes on the watch.
No doubt, the collecting community has been very excited by every single incarnation of the world’s toughest wristwatch taking on metal and then in the many instances of the watch since 2018.
Perhaps a most recent version of the GMW-B5000 that turned the most heads was the Full Titanium GMW-B5000TB and later the Metal Camouflage GMW-B5000TCM-1.
Enter the Full Metal GMW-B5000CS with Grid Design.
It’s explained that the watch is first given a black ion plating, as with the all black Full Metal GMW-B5000. Then, laser etching is used to create the silver lattice pattern over the black case and band.
The process, is probably, a know-how that has been transferred from Casio having successfully developed a method to laser etch the pixel camouflage pattern on the earlier titanium GMW-B5000TCM-1.
Availability for the watch has been marked for late May 2020, though we’ll have to be a little patient to learn the final price. Stay tuned.
