First look: Ulysse Nardin at Geneva Watch Days 2022

Ulysse Nardin CEO Patrick Pruniaux just showed Wei the updated version of the Ulysse Nardin Blast, which was first launched in 2020. The 2022 Ulysse Nardin Blast Rainbow is an accessibly priced automatic tourbillon that has a platinum rotor, precious stones and 45mm titanium case with ceramic cover.

The 50-piece limited edition openworked Ulysse Nardin Blast pays tribute to the Ulysse Nardin Freak, which was introduced in 2001. Where would we be without The Freak? Comprising relatively few components, The Freak paved the way for openworked watches and watches that tell time with unusual displays. The Freak was also one of the first wristwatches ever to use silicon components, which are more resistant to corrosion and wear and tear, and release potential energy into time-telling kinetic energy at a steadier and more consistent rate.
