First Look: SIHH 2013 Fine Watchmaking And Metiers D’Art Masterpieces From Cartier

Highlights from the Cartier Presentation at the SIHH 2013.

Cartier’s Mystery Tourbillon –in the grand tradition of the famous mystery clocks.  It’s actually a double tourbillon –the sapphire mystery disk carries the inner tourbillon carriage.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAEnamel dials are big at Cartier this year –the fine watchmaking decorative arts are well represented (in addition to the technically sophisticated new pieces in the fine watchmaking collection)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAnd, Cartier brings back one of its most famous designs, the legendary and notorious “Crash” watch.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAHope you enjoyed this quick look at just a few of the great new watches from Cartier this year –one of the strongest new collections at the SIHH and probably one of the strongest from any major player in the watch world in 2013 (though the year is young, I would be comfortable betting we’ll still feel that way in December.)
