NOMOS Glashütte
In 1990, just a few weeks after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Roland Schwertner founded Nomos in the German town of Glashütte. From the beginning, Nomos was characterized by the purity of its designs, where style is at the service of function, as established by the Bauhaus movement that emerged in Germany in the 1930s. Today Nomos is the largest producer (by volume) of mechanical watches in Germany, and the firm boasts of being a genuine manufacture, producing 95 percent of the components used in its watches. Truly made in Germany.
