When talking about my favorite watch, usually there are several indispensable criteria, among which the first and most important one is: whether or not I fall in love with it at first sight? The second factor is: whether or not the watch matches my style and personality? And the last one is: will this watch feel comfortable when I wear it? Although my favorite watch may be different in every period, each of them met the criteria mentioned above. And in the last five years, the Bulgari Octo Finissimo titanium wristwatch has been occupying the first place in my mind.
I fell in love with this watch the first time I set eyes on it. Its unique octagonal case has not only multiple facets, but also impressive rich layers and details. In addition, the elegant and concise dial design, a distinctive small seconds dial located at 7-8 o’clock, together with a matte finish on the titanium bracelet and case, as well as the muted color matching with a uniform gray tone on the entire watch, all of which contribute to the contemporary aesthetics exclusive to Octo Finissimo, a unique and distinctive style that cannot be copied by others.
What fascinates me even more is that a watch with so many details and so much craftsmanship is only 5.15mm thin! Of course, I am also deeply impressed by the watchmaking expertise behind the creation of the ultra-thin BVL-18 movement. It is stable and accurate, with kinetic energy for 60 hours. The performance of such an ultra-thin movement is amazing.
As for wearing comfort and pleasure, I can only say that the lightness and thinness of this watch often make me forget its existence. Only when I lift my wrist do I remember that it is working quietly, and makes me happy since I can appreciate its fascinating appearance when reading the time!
