Vyntage Horology, a brand born from the experience and passion of prominent Dubai-based retailer Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, has debuted two new limited editions from its core Monograph and Purity lines, presenting a thematic pair of watches that evoke the spirit and beauty of urban life.

Vyntage Monograph Dawn

The latest addition to Vyntage’s monopusher line is the Monograph Dawn. The story of this 40mm steel watch — powered by a pleasingly finished manually-wound monopusher chronograph — is all in the dial.

The hand-hammered dial offers plenty of depth. There’s the subtle texture, recessed chronograph registers, and hand-applied Roman numerals that have been polished to offer maximum contrast against the blush-like tones of the rest of the dial. Of course, salmon dials are en vogue at the moment, but for Vyntage, this particular hue evokes the essence of urban life, evoking “a concrete jungle stirring to life, mirroring the vibrant hues of a sunrise”. Overall, the Monograph Dawn is an attractive package, with details like the curved leather strap and the cut-outs on the profile of the lugs, elevating the overall fit and finish of this attractive monopusher. This watch is limited to 25 pieces.

Vyntage Purity Dusk

Bookending Vyntage Horology’s conception of the day is the Purity Dusk, which, in keeping with the urban identity of this limited edition pair, is inspired the by evening lights of a city, which Vyntage has interpreted with a striking green smoked dial, which shifts from emerald to a much darker hue at the outer edge. This graded effect allows the silver arrowhead hour markers to add some moody drama to the dial.

The steel case comes in at 39mm across and only 10.8mm tall, housing a manual movement (visible through the clear case back), and offering an exceptionally solid 90 hours of power reserve. Offered on an attractive aubergine strap with a vivid aquatic lining, this watch is limited to 50 pieces.
