Venezianico Gives the Arsenale a More Complicated Expression
Venezianico, founded by brothers Alberto and Alessandro Morelli in 2017, has built its identity around a contemporary interpretation of Venetian design, combining Italian visual references with a more accessible approach to mechanical watchmaking. The brand gained a degree of wider visibility in 2024, when it made its first appearance in the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) with two Redentore models, before Alberto Morelli joined the GPHG Academy in 2025.

Venezianico’s Arsenale line is named after the Arsenale di Venezia, the historic shipyard that helped underpin the maritime and industrial strength of the Venetian Republic.
Within its broader catalog, the Arsenale line is one of Venezianico’s clearest expressions of that Venetian point of reference. Named after the Arsenale di Venezia, the historic shipyard that helped underpin the maritime and industrial strength of the Venetian Republic, the collection draws on its associations with technical ingenuity and proto-industrial organization.
That legacy is translated into a contemporary sport-elegant watch defined by slim proportions, integrated bracelets and a more architectural approach to design. In the new Arsenale Calendario, that idea is carried further through a notably more complicated display built around a complete calendar function, while still echoing the same visual language and structural logic that define the line.
A Dial Built Around Display Hierarchy
The Arsenale Calendario’s main point of interest, though, is how it arranges information across the dial. Various indications are designed and organized to feel orderly and visually coherent, drawing on the logic that Venezianico affiliates with the Arsenale di Venezia: modularity, sequence and control.
At 12 o’clock, the power reserve indicator is integrated into the upper section of the dial, interacting directly with Venezianico’s cross-shaped logo. The raised neck on the power reserve hand also passes over the logo without obscuring it; a small but deliberate design gesture focused on the resolution of the display rather than theatrics.
This emphasis on clear visual hierarchy continues throughout. The day and month subdials are arranged symmetrically on either side, while the date is handled more discreetly, with reduced numerals on a round window, intended to keep it visible instead of dominating the dial.
At 6 o’clock, there’s a 24-hour display interpreted through a day/night visual, partially framed by a see-through sapphire semi-disk fixed with two visible screws. A discreet push-button at 2 o’clock allows for quick month adjustment for easy everyday usability.
The watch is offered in two dial options, burgundy red and blue, both leaning into a sunburst effect, concentric subdials, polished baton markers and skeletonized dauphine hands.
Keeping the Focus on Wearability

The Arsenale Calendario is housed in a steel case that measures 40mm across and 9.6mm thick, with an integrated Canova Concept bracelet.
The Arsenale Calendario is housed in a steel case that measures 40mm across and 9.6mm thick, maintaining a relatively slim profile that has been central to the Arsenale line’s appeal. Its double-domed sapphire crystal adds height and depth to the dial-side, while the knurled bezel and integrated Canova Concept bracelet preserve the collection’s sport-elegant character. It also features a closed caseback, engraved with a view of Venice’s canals, extending the collection’s connection to its Venetian point of reference.
Powering the watch is the automatic Miyota 9100 caliber, which combines the complete calendar, power reserve and day/night indications in a compact format with a 42-hour power reserve. The watch is regulated in-house to approximately ±15 seconds per day.
