The Tutima x Revolution M2 Coastline Chronograph is a Modern Flieger That Hits all the Right Notes

Share

Watches with a military heritage or connection have always held the fascination of collectors and enthusiasts, due to their robust qualities and a love for the romanticized ideals of fighting for one’s country. And then there is a special class of chronographs used throughout history by German military pilots, also known as fliegers, that have had a strong cult following since the existence of these watches. Tutima, based in the German watchmaking town of Glashütte, is a brand that has been outfitting pilots from the German Luftwaffe with Fliegerchronographs of exceptional build quality since the 1940s. In 1984, a highlight year in Tutima’s history, its reference 798 was chosen as the preferred chronograph for the militaries of NATO member states. More modern references such as the M2 and M2 Coastline maintain that tradition of mechanical excellence and are well suited for daily wear whether you regularly take to the skies or not. Wei and Jeremiah take a quick look at Flieger history and discuss our latest collaboration with Tutima, a blacked-out version of their fantastic M2 Coastline Chronograph in Grade 2 titanium.

The Tutima x Revolution M2 Coastline Chronograph is limited to 100 numbered pieces and priced at EUR 2,850 each. Dropping on 10 March 2023, 10pm SGT | 3pm CET | 9am EST. Email [email protected] to register your interest.
