Trilobe at Watches and Wonders 2026: The Trente-Deux Secret Edition Keeps a Secret in the Stars

Trilobe evolves its signature rotating display with the Trente-Deux Secret Edition, introducing a personalised star map dial that transforms each watch into a unique, time-bound expression of a chosen moment

Trilobe has come out of the gate strong since its founding in 2018, capturing hearts and attention with its novel time display, eschewing hands in favour of a visually striking combination of rotating rings and fixed pointers. It’s a concept the brand debuted in models like the Les Matinaux and the Nuit Fantastique, but it’s given a sportier feel in the Trente-Deux, which also features the brand’s first in-house calibre. The latest edition, the Trente-Deux Secret Edition, adds a constellation to the dial, with the secret being that the star map is fully customisable for the owner.

Starting from the outside and working in, the case of the Trente-Deux Secret Edition comes in at 39.5mm and 10.15 mm tall, very much in line with contemporary tastes for this sort of integrated sports watch. In terms of finishing, the case and bracelet (only offered on the steel model) offer a mix of brushed and polished (notably the centre bracelet links are like lozange-shaped mirrors), which, combined with the fluted bezel, makes for an offering that oozes class.

The movement, the X-Niholo, is worth mentioning — a visually arresting automatic developed and assembled in Paris, with stark architecture that feels both exceptionally contemporary, but also nods to historical pocket watch movements. This movement, with 42 hours of power reserve, drives the three rings, for hours, minutes and seconds. While it’s not overly complex engineering, it’s been finished with panache and looks quite stunning.

Finally, the dial. The base is a sunray finished in midnight blue — which is apt given the theme of the watch. Upon this, successive layers of pad-printed metallic pigment are applied, building up a layered pattern of stars and constellations that glitters on the dial. Making this dial more special is the fact that it’s personalised for each owner. This is a custom production watch, and the star chart is personalised based on a date, time and location chosen by the owner. It’s charming and inherently romantic, and a great evolution from a young brand with a lot of potential.
