Physical Watches & Wonders Returns to Geneva for 2022

Watches & Wonders, in a much-welcomed press release, has announced that it is targeting hold a physical fair in Geneva, in 2022. Mark your calendars for March 30 to April 5 as the industry gathers in Palexpo, after a two-year hiatus.

It’s fair to say that within the watch industry, the Watches & Wonders organization is the one that has the most experience in holding large scale physical fairs, given present global realities, having executed several in Shanghai to date. Therein, it can be assumed that all lessons learnt will be applied to proceed with a physical Watches & Wonders Geneva in a safe and conducive manner.

It is interesting to note though that after the Swatch Group’s departure from Baselworld and its ultimate demise that had the whole community questioning whether large scale physical fairs were still relevant, the news of the Geneva fair’s return has been very well received by the same community.

Watches & Wonders have yet to formally speak on the exact mechanics for the Geneva fair. No doubt, however, that adjustments will have to be made to accommodate the several newer, and substantial, maisons that are part of the fair, as of 2021. For that matter, the fair organizers have also not published the list of participating exhibitors. Perhaps it’s appropriate to assume that there may be departures and additions made to the list.

Regardless, a bullish move on the part of FHH and Watches & Wonders after the dark days of 2020 and in anticipation of business in the new normal. And, of course, bet your bottom dollar that the global Revolution team will be there to bring you all the latest as it happens from on ground.
