Picture yourself sitting within a cozy cabin of the Silver Queen Gondola as it crests over the Ridge of the Bell on Aspen Mountain. The glamorous town of mountain resort town stretches out before you into the Roaring Fork Valley. It’s unclear whether or not they actually took to the slopes, but that doesn’t matter – they look the part nevertheless.

Last weekend, at the peak of Ski Season, Hublot took to the slopes to celebrate both the launch of their latest collaboration watch with Aspen One (the parent company of Aspen Snowmass) and the inaugural Snow League Competition. The Bing Bang Meca-10 Aspen One Special Edition is Hublot’s 3rd collaboration with Aspen One, which joins dozens of Big Bang clocks which can be found throughout the four mountains of the resort – Aspen, Highlands, Buttermilk, and Snowmass.

The 45mm micro blasted black ceramic case is accented by a polished white ceramic bezel and matching strap, with the manual winding Meca-10 movement displayed in mesmerizing openwork fashion. The movement, the in-house HUB1201 movement, boasts a 10 day power reserve, beating at 3hz. At 12:00, a single, silver toned Aspen leaf emblem embodies the partnership between the Swiss Watchmaker and one of the world’s most illustrious ski resort destinations (and subtly references Aspen’s history as a silver mining boom town.)

Continuing the spirit of that partnership, which first began in 2019, Hublot has joined forces with legendary snowboarder Shaun White as the Official Watch and Timekeeper of The Snow League, White’s brand new competitive snowboard and skiing competitive league. The first competition took place at the legendary SuperPipe on Buttermilk mountain (the very same venue that saw Shaun White earn the most gold medals in X-Games history). The league will continue to other luxurious ski resorts across the globe, making stops at Yunding Secret Garden in China, returning to Aspen in 2026, and then concluding at LAAX halfpipe in Switzerland.

Competitors squared off in head to head heats on one of the most picturesque halfpipes in the world, showcasing some of the most impressive and death defying snowboarding imaginable. Afterwards, guests, clients of Hublot, and friends of White returned in classic Aspen fashion to The Snow Lodge in the St. Regis for an Apres Ski event like no other. There, the highest overall scoring competitors Yuto Totsuka of Japan and Gaon Choi of Korea, were congratulated with their very own Hublot Classic Fusion Racing Grey watches.

Hublot is of course no stranger to the world of high end, extreme sport, with the likes of the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, tennis legend Novak Djokavic, and Alain Roura, the skipper of the Hublot IMOCA and 3 time competitor in the Vendee Globe.
