Girard-Perregaux and Aston Martin: The Neo Bridges special edition

Share

In a testament to their thriving partnership, luxury British brand Aston Martin and Swiss watchmaker Girard-Perregaux unveil their latest collaborative masterpiece.
Inspired by Aston Martin’s cutting-edge sports cars, particularly the iconic DB12 Super Tourer, the Neo Bridges Aston Martin Edition mirrors the car’s sleek contours and sharp lines. The collaboration, announced in 2021, celebrates the shared commitment of both companies to design excellence and uncompromising engineering, boasting a combined heritage of over 300 years in the luxury domain.

The Neo Bridges Aston Martin Edition marks the fifth collaborative timepiece, which is in turn an addition to Girard-Perregaux’s renowned Bridges collection.

Marek Reichmann, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer at Aston Martin Lagonda, expresses the collaborative spirit: “Our watches bearing our names have been authentically co-built through a shared spirit of true collaboration.”

Patrick Pruniaux, CEO of Girard-Perregaux, emphasizes the active involvement of Aston Martin in the creative process: “The Neo Bridges Aston Martin Edition is the impressive outcome of two companies synergistically working together.”

Neo Bridges Aston Martin Edition: A DB12 on the wrist

The timepiece continues the legacy of Girard-Perregaux’s Bridges collection, established in 1867 with Constant Girard’s innovative pocket watch featuring three parallel bridges. This edition challenges horological conventions, unveiling its inverted movement, the Calibre GP0840000-2164.
True to its automotive inspiration, the watch discards a traditional dial, exposing its inverted movement and showcasing skeletonized baton-type indexes. The luminescent hands and suspended indexes glow in the iconic Aston Martin Green in low light, reminiscent of the brand’s association with high-performance cars.
The micro-rotor, engraved with the Aston Martin name, contributes to the watch’s slender profile while providing an unobstructed view of the movement. The 45mm lightweight titanium case, dressed in black DLC, complements the display elements and accentuates the watch’s dynamic components.
Limited to just 250 pieces, the Neo Bridges Aston Martin Edition promises exclusivity and rarity. The watch, set to go on sale in December 2023, will be available worldwide through authorized Girard-Perregaux retailers.
