Introducing the Fratello x Minase M-3 ‘Very-Peri’
The Low-Down
Our friends at Fratello have, with a little help from Japanese watchmaker Minase, created a spectacularly on-trend watch. The Minase M-3 ‘Very-Peri’. This is a watch that’s been made with watch fans in mind. For starters, the M-3 has previously been a JDM-only release, a simple three-hander with a 40mm case with a decidedly mid-century flavour. The other standout detail is, of course, the dial, which is in a recognisable hue, the Pantone color of 2022, an on-trend twist on periwinkle called Very-Peri.

One of the most impressive things about this watch is the fact that the dial, which is realised in a shimmering, multifaceted finish we associate with the Minase Divido, uses the officially licensed Pantone ‘Very Peri’. But beyond that, there’s numerous details that make this watch something special. Fratello swapped out numerous details, like the Dutch orange-tipped second hand and the dial style and hardware inspired by their previous 2021 collaboration with Minase. The case is superbly finished too, with a very high level of finish; look at the fineness of the brushing and how it interacts with the mirror-polished bezel. Inside is a Selliota SW200 — a fine piece of machinery. The looks it topped off by a croc-effect calf strap, though to be completely honest, this watch will look great with just about any strap.
