Five to Watch at The US Open (And Their Watches)
Top flight tennis this year has been as hard to predict as getting a runny yolk or not with your eggs royale. Just when you thought Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka were starting to pull away, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal turn the tables. Despite a hip injury, Andy Murray is likely to feature. But Nadal will come into the tournament as world number one (for the first time in over three years).
Djokovic and Wawrinka are both out with injury, which has left the door wide open for Federer and Nadal. This year, Federer won his fifth Australian Open and his eighth Wimbledon title (not bad for an old fella), while Nadal took home his record-extending 10th French.

He didn’t make it onto the list, but Nick Kyrgios, the fiery youngster from Australia deserves an honourable mention. I have to confess, no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t find the man wearing a watch. Surely a guy with the type of talent and charisma he possesses deserves a watch deal. Let’s make it happen.
Enough of that stuff, let’s get down to business, here are my five to watch and their watches for this year’s US Open:
Alexander Zverev wearing a Richard Mille RM 27-01
Dominic Thiem wearing a Rolex Daytona
Grigor Dimitrov wearing a range of Rolex watches
Kei Nishikori wearing a TAG Heuer Professional Golf Date
Rafael Nadal wearing a Richard Mille RM 27-03
