Limited to 77 pieces, this split-seconds chronograph debuts an upgraded isolator mechanism for enhanced precision and shock resistance. Its most striking detail: a robot head display whose eyes shift color with the chronograph’s functions. Created to celebrate Czapek & Cie.’s 180th anniversary and the 10th anniversary of its revival, the R.U.R. draws inspiration from Czech writer Karel Čapek, who coined the word robot in his play Rossum’s Universal Robots. Priced at CHF 58,000, it’s a mechanical and philosophical statement piece.
