De Bethune DB25 Digitale: Denis Flageollet and Antoine Pin on Watchmaking for Today
Wei Koh sits down with Denis Flageollet and Antoine Pin of De Bethune for a conversation on the DB25 Digitale, and the deeper philosophy behind the manufacture’s approach to contemporary watchmaking.
The discussion begins with De Bethune’s place in today’s collector culture, where knowledge, authenticity and technical substance matter more than ever. For Denis Flageollet, the aim has never been to repeat the great watchmakers of the past, but to take that knowledge forward and build watches for today.
The DB25 Digitale brings that philosophy into a new form. Housed in a 42mm Grade 5 titanium case, it combines jumping hours, minutes and De Bethune’s spherical moon phase with a blued titanium dial, random guilloché and starry-sky details.
Inside is the hand-wound DB2144V3, delivering five days of power reserve and carrying key De Bethune signatures including the polished titanium deltoid bridge, proprietary titanium-and-gold balance wheel and triple pare-chute shock-absorbing system.
