Revolution Awards 2025: Best Women’s Watch — Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M 30mm, Moonshine Gold on Moonshine Gold

The Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M 30mm in Moonshine gold wins our 2025 Revolution Award for Best Women’s Watch because it delivers a balance that even today sometimes remains elusive: true horological credentials without compromising the mechanics. Thankfully, the “shrink it and pink it” approach of our watchmaking caveman ancestors seems to be on a steadily declining trajectory, but let’s be honest, there’s still plenty of room in this space for truly exceptional women’s watches to make a mark. And it is, of course, very satisfying to see this space filled so compellingly this year, thanks to many brands and our ultimate winner, Omega.

The collection itself boasts five references in full gold, three of which are the Moonshine Gold on Moonshine Gold editions that are the focus of our reverent appreciation.

Omega’s newest calibers were completely reimagined and engineered specifically for these pieces. At the heart of Omega’s Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M 30mm is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Caliber 8751, a self-winding movement with Co-Axial escapement, METAS approval and resistance to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss — built for the way we live today surrounded by phones, laptops and more. It uses a free-sprung balance with a silicon balance spring and automatic winding in both directions. Despite its slightly reduced dimensions, it still delivers a 48-hour power reserve and the movement is part of the pleasure — not hidden away — but pleasingly visible through the caseback along with its rose gold rotor.

The case is 18K Moonshine Gold, with a symmetrical polished profile and that screw-in caseback distinguished by Omega’s wave-edged design. The dimensions are 30mm in diameter, 10.65mm thick and 36.42mm lug-to-lug. A domed, scratch resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides protects the dial, while water resistance is a confident 150 meters — this watch might be precious, but it is also seriously strong.

Finally, the Moonshine Gold bracelet — polished and brushed links, butterfly clasp and comfort setting — makes the watch feel like one continuous object on the wrist. The result is a women’s watch that wins on the things that matter: proportion, credibility and daily wearability — the confident gold luxury here supporting the former, asserting the watchmaking creds that make this our winner.
