Introducing the latest Rado True Thinline x Great Gardens of the World models

Rado has just introduced captivating new additions to the Rado True Thinline x Great Gardens of the World series of ceramic timepieces.
If you enjoy eye-catching dials and cases, here are a truly absorbing trio of timepieces that you’ll love. Born from the partnership between Rado and the Great Gardens of the World organization, the Rado True Thinline x Great Gardens of the World timepieces showcase beautiful motifs by Mother Nature, reinterpreted as watch dials. You might recall recent additions to this series of watches that were themed on Summer (Chapter 5), Autumn (Chapter 6) and Winter (Chapter 7).
The attention-grabbing dials of the brand-new Chapters 8, 9 and 10 timepieces are accentuated by the Rado’s True Thinline monobloc high-tech ceramic case, in black, white or plasma grey.
These cases are each water-resistant to a depth of 30m and paired with a matching polished high-tech ceramic bracelet and triple-fold titanium clasp. Each dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.
For Chapters 8, 9 and 10 of the Rado True Thinline x Great Gardens of the World collaboration, Rado sought inspiration from the Loulu Lelo from Hawaii, Chile’s Araucaria and the Dragon Blood Tree from Yemen, which are beautiful but —unfortunately — endangered, plants.

R27088122 / Chapter 10 / Dragon blood

These three timepieces are driven by the Rado R766 movement that has a 64-hour power reserve. This efficient movement is bolstered by a Nivachron antimagnetic hairspring and has been tested for accuracy in five positions instead of the usual three.
Chapter 8 evokes the pleated leaves of the Loulu Lelo and sports a polished black case. The Chapter 9 timepiece’s white mother-of-pearl dial is inspired by the Araucaria tree of Chile. Themed on the swirling branches of the Dragon Blood Tree native to Yemen, the Chapter 10 timepiece is encased within a plasma high-tech ceramic monobloc case. This gray case is fashioned at temperatures of almost 20,000°C, then treated for a specific duration at 1000°C.

Chapters 8 and 9 each have a titanium case back with a sapphire crystal window digitally inscribed with the words “great gardens of the world” and the timepiece’s chapter number. Chapter 10 has a similar titanium case back, except that it is rose gold-colored and is skeletonized with organic shapes imitating the branches of the Dragon Blood Tree.
The Rado True Thinline x Great Gardens of the World Chapters 8, 9 and 10 timepieces are available individually or as a trio in a special collector’s box set, limited to 99 boxes.
Incidentally, Rado also unveiled new additions to its Centrix collection in April 2023. Inspired by the beauty of the desert, the new Centrix timepieces emphasize intricate dial creation and bracelet finishing. These new watches are available in various color options, in 30.5mm and 39.5mm case sizes, and with automatic or quartz movements.
