Moritz Grossmann

Born in Dresden in 1826, Moritz Grossmann was a visionary German watchmaker who produced exceptional pocket watches, marine chronometers and precision pendulum clocks and established the German School of Watchmaking in Glashütte in 1878. The brand was revived in 2008 when Christine Hutter, a former Lange watchmaker, discovered the venerable Glashütte brand and had it re‐registered. Today, Moritz Grossmann is known for combining traditional movement construction with inventive mechanics and fine craftsmanship.
