Oris at Watches & Wonders 2025: Big Crown And Big Crown Pointer Date
We’re only a few months into 2025 and despite whatever challenges the industry has yet faced, it’s been a banger year for Oris. January began with the ProPilot X Miss Piggy Edition and was quickly followed by the Divers Sixty-Five 60th Anniversary Edition – two watches that perfectly bookend the last 60 years of Oris’ history, culminating in an era of, well, fun.
You see, Oris has been undergoing a metamorphosis of sorts in recent years, culminating in a brand refresh centered around one core idea — their watches should be well made, intricately finished, and offer strong value to their owners. But above all else, Oris’ watches should make people smile. That is exactly what their Watches & Wonders releases for 2025 aim to do.
Oris Big Crown Pointer Date 40mm
The Oris Pointer Date is a watch with an unassumingly deep history, having been in constant production for almost a century. Throughout that time legibility, with its clear numerals and pointer date indicator, and ease of use with the large crown, have been its raison d’etre. But what began as a relatively straight forward, utilitarian tool watch intended for pilots, has evolved, becoming one of Oris’ cornerstone collections.
This year, Oris announces a slew of new references that breathe new life and vibrance into this time tested watch. Equipped with the in-house developed Calibre 403 movement, which features a five-day power reserve and a 10 year service interval and warranty, two new references are presented with beautiful new dial variations. The first in a soft, mossy green color. The second, a rich, peachy terracotta. Both watches are available now on either a Cervo Volante leather strap with folding clasp or on a brand new H link which features polished center links and a newly developed butterfly clasp.
Additionally, 3 new references of the Oris calibre 754 equipped variant are also available. These pieces, at a more accessible price point, feature bright, fun new colors – a vibrant yellow, a rich, aquamarine blue, and a soft, subtle lilac. Spring colors just in time for a bright new season.

Oris Big Crown 34mm
But that is not where the festivities, or new references, end. Joining the Big Crown collection in a new size is the 34mm stainless steel case. This smaller reference features the Oris calibre 531 movement, which offers a respectable 42 hours of power reserve. Both are available on stainless steel bracelets with folding clasps.
The watches are available in either a textured, light clay brown color with sharp, applied indices and skeletonized hands, or a black dial which is set with 12 lab-grown baguette diamond indices. Like the Miss Piggy, which featured a lab-grown diamond at 12:00, the choice of lab-grown diamonds was an absolute must, in keeping with the Hölstein based watchmaker’s ongoing commitment to sustainability.
