New Chapters in Seddiqi’s Legacy
Though 2025 was officially the year that Ahmed Seddiqi marked 75 years at the heart of the region’s watch culture, the anniversary is being celebrated not as a retrospective, but as a series of collaborations. These limited editions are chapters in a much larger story that is shaped by long-held relationships, mutual trust, and the continuing evolution of an industry that never stands still.
Each release carries the signature of Seddiqi’s understanding of what resonates in the Middle East, and the mechanical language of the maisons it has championed over decades. The result is a lineup of pieces that feel immediately collectible.
Atelier Wen: Inflection 沙焰 (shā yàn) / شَعّان limited edition
Created to commemorate 75 years of Ahmed Seddiqi, a highly limited-edition grand feu enamel masterpiece from Atelier Wen is unveiled, drawing on a shared language of meticulous craftsmanship and symbolically bringing together two cultures that whilst geographically far apart, share a close philosophy when it comes to craft, tradition and culture. Atelier Wen champions the traditions of Chinese artisanship, with the brand founders shining a spotlight on the legacy, but also the potential of, Chinese luxury watchmaking. Atelier Wen’s determination to champion a culture not always readily associated with haute horology draws pleasing parallels with the vision of Ahmed Sedddiq and its work in the Middle East. The timepiece created in homage to this shared vision is Inflection 沙焰 (shā yàn) / شَعّان — a grand feu enamel timepiece, housed in a material called tantalum.
Tantalum is not a material widely used in watchmaking, usually being found more at home in the aerospace industry. The shiny blue-grey boasts an extremely high density and resistance to corrosion; if it’s keeping planes up in the sky, we can only deduce just how impressively safe it keeps the customised movement inside this watch – a customised Girard-Perregaux 03300 calibre, a Swiss automatic movement renowned for its precision. The integrated bracelet and case are finished with an intricate mix of finishes – the level of perfection achieved is the result of more than three years of meticulous R&D.
“As we celebrate 75 years of horological excellence, it brings us great pride to collaborate with Atelier Wen, a brand that embodies creativity, authenticity, and technical mastery. The Inflection featuring a crimson dial and grand feu enamel is a truly unique piece highlighting exceptional artistry, and we are proud to have collaborated with the brand,” said Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi, CEO of Ahmed Seddiqi. Limited to ten individually numbered pieces, it’s a small run by design, but a powerful example of Seddiqi’s appetite for the offbeat, the exacting, and the new.
Chronoswiss: Strike Two Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary Edition
Chronoswiss has never been shy about the fact that it likes its watchmaking with a little razzmatazz and the Strike Two Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary Edition, an ultra-exclusive timepiece limited to just 12 pieces, celebrates the brand’s unique approach to timekeeping while introducing codes that nod to a shared commitment to horological excellence and the cultural richness of the Middle East.
Rooted in the success of the Strike Two collection, this anniversary edition retains the iconic horizontal regulator layout, originally inspired by the pioneering Chronoswiss Tora of the 1990s. The dial is presented as a uniquely CVD-coated, lasered surface in a deep, custom sand colour that draws from Ahmed Seddiqi’s own heritage — a tone chosen to embody elegance, prosperity, and timeless legacy.
“Celebrating 75 years of Ahmed Seddiqi means honouring a legacy of excellence that mirrors our own. The Strike Two 75th Anniversary Edition is more than a tribute to craftsmanship — it represents friendship, respect, and a shared passion for doing things differently,” says Oliver Ebstein, Chronoswiss CEO and Owner.
“We are proud to celebrate Ahmed Seddiqi’s 75th anniversary with the launch of the Strike Two 75th Anniversary Edition. The timepiece combines the iconic Strike Two design with a sand-coloured dial drawing from the culture and heritage of the UAE. This is a unique piece in our history of limited editions and reflects our inspired partnership with Chronoswiss,” adds Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi, CEO of Ahmed Seddiqi.
The dial features Hindi-Arabic numerals on both the hour and small seconds rings, linking the modern mechanics of the timepiece with the deep cultural history of the region. At 9 o’clock, the hand-guilloché small seconds is engraved line by line in the Chronoswiss Atelier in Lucerne. Every detail, from the intricate three-dimensional layout to the colour palette, has been carefully chosen to reflect the partnership between both brands — a collaboration built on mutual respect, innovation, and independent watchmaking.

Housed in a polished 40mm stainless-steel case and powered by the Chronoswiss Manufacture Calibre C.6000, the Strike Two Ahmed Seddiqi 75th Anniversary Edition offers a 55-hour power reserve and showcases technical artistry including ruthenium finishing and a tungsten rotor. This exclusive anniversary edition is presented as a symbol of unity, vision, and exceptional craftsmanship, and a tribute to a partnership that continues to push boundaries.
Gerald Charles: Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin ‘Tiger’s Eye’
A double anniversary edition created in honour of two anniversaries – Ahmed Seddiqi’s 75th and Gerald Charles’ 25th – this is a watch that puts the dial centre-stage: a a stunning stone for a special milestone. The Maestro 2.0 Ultra-Thin ‘Tiger’s Eye’ is a 20-piece limited edition created to mark this dual celebration, expressing it by way of a stone that’s having a bit of a moment. Tiger’s eye is natural art: unique, luminous, and alive with visual texture. The warm gold-brown shimmer of tiger’s eye happen to also enjoy a reputation in Arab culture for offering protection from the evil eye, and thanks to its desert-hued palette, feels like quite an intuitive choice for connoisseurs of watchmaking in the Middle East. Due to the stone’s fragility, cutting and finishing it required diamond-tipped tools, slow precision work, and the expertise of a select few artisans. In a first for Gerald Charles, the dial features no indices or minute track. This minimalist approach allows the natural character of the stone to take centre stage.
“Working with Federico and the Gerald Charles team allowed us to create something truly distinctive and is a tribute to the industry as we honour craftsmanship and champion creating unique timepieces. The 75th anniversary of Ahmed Seddiqi is a remarkable milestone in our company’s history, and this collaboration is a representation of our shared values,” said Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi, CEO of Ahmed Seddiqi.
Federico Ziviani, CEO of Gerald Charles, affirms the shared passion that underpinned the collaboration: “We achieved a rare harmony between the case, strap, and dial. In this creation, every detail was meticulously considered and custom-designed to ensure the piece stands out as genuinely unique. It strikes a perfect balance between the understated luxury that defines Gerald Charles and the avant-garde design that continues to drive our vision.”
The 39mm case is the brand’s signature Maestro form in stainless steel with Brown Colormix finishing, with a screw-down crown and 10 ATM/100 m water resistance. Inside beats the Swiss Manufacture 2.0 calibre (Ref. GCA2000), an automatic movement with 50 hours of power reserve, and finishing that includes colimaçon (spirals), Côtes de Genève, and perlage.
Girard-Perregaux: Laureato 75th Anniversary Limited Edition
Ahmed Seddiqi’s 75th anniversary meets the Laureato’s 50th with a watch built on shared history and taste – two parallel legacies distilled into a Laureato.
The dial boasts visually arresting off-white Grand Feu enamel, with a sunray flinqué motif in a centrepiece of texture and light. Green PVD-treated indexes and the GP logo bring contrast and structure, the palette a symbolic shorthand for desert radiance and green tones associated with life and renewal. The grand feu enamelling represents a fiendishly tricky artistic craft, with the mixture of silica, potash, and metal oxides applied by hand, then fired repeatedly at 800°C. It’s a process defined by precision and fragility, and that tension is exactly what gives each unique dial its character.
The 42 mm steel case and bracelet remain faithful to the Laureato’s original architecture: the octagonal bezel, circular plinth, and tonneau-shaped case, brought to life through alternating polished and satin-brushed finishes. Through the sapphire caseback sits the in-house GP01800 automatic calibre, with Côtes de Genève decoration, delicate bevelling, and a pink-gold oscillating weight engraved with the Seddiqi 75th Anniversary emblem.
Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi calls it “a partnership built on integrity, craftsmanship, and shared values,” while Girard-Perregaux’s Marc Michel-Amadry positions it as a dual-anniversary piece that reflects Girard-Perregaux’s Haute Horlogerie expertise and Seddiqi’s innovative spirit.
Louis Erard: La Petite Seconde 75th Anniversary Seddiqi
For Ahmed Seddiqi’s 75th anniversary, the retailer has teamed up with Louis Erard on a limited run of 75 pieces of La Petite Seconde 75th Anniversary Seddiqi Edition: a 39 mm steel Petite Seconde with Louis Erard’s fir tree “LE” crown, and a neo-deco design language that nods to both New York Art Deco and Dubai’s most recognisable silhouette, the Burj Khalifa.
The dial is rendered in a copper tone intended to recall vintage photography and cinema, constructed with a circular satin-finished outer zone, gadroons at the centre, and an azure small-seconds counter at 6 o’clock. A satin-finished chapter ring carries Hindi numerals, adding a regional inflection without turning the watch into a souvenir. Even the small seconds is pared back: marked only by a single dot at noon. The hands in polished anthracite hour and minute hands are subtly shaped like the Burj Khalifa – a literal architectural motif, but executed with enough restraint to deliver a slick, united design rather than a pastiche to Dubai’s most famous architectural landmark. Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi calls the watch “more than design”, while Louis Erard CEO Manuel Emch says: “Together we’ve designed something that reflects the spirit of Dubai: a city where tradition meets bold modernity. From the copper tones of nostalgia to the skyline in motion on your wrist, this edition captures time the way stories are told in this region – with depth, pride, and vision.”
Inside, visible through the sapphire caseback, is the Swiss automatic Sellita SW261-1 in élaboré grade, with an openworked rotor bearing the black lacquered Louis Erard logo. The caseback is engraved “Limited Edition 1 of 75”. A grey-grained calf strap with quick-release spring bars completes the package.
Purity: Purity x Seddiqi 75th Anniversary
If Seddiqi’s anniversary programme writes a love letter to independent watchmaking, then Purity is written in a particularly personal hand. This limited edition comes from Vyntage Horology’s Purity line, the Seddiqi family’s own Swiss made label. And it delivers a uniquely personal tribute, one destined for just 25 collectors. Framed in tantalum, the watch dial is in the deep, slate blue colour of pietersite; its complex swirling appearance ensuring that no two watches are the same: exactly the objective when you’re honouring a legacy of decades of serious collecting.
The essential design codes of Purity remain intact: a crown at 4 o’clock to keep the case balanced, small seconds at 7 to give the dial an elegant shift, and a clean case profile. Inside the 39 mm case sits a Swiss manual movement with a 90 hour power reserve, visible through the sapphire back that reveals careful hand finishing. The watch comes with a blue lizard strap along with a black rubber option, both with quick release bars, and is sold exclusively through select Ahmed Seddiqi boutiques in the UAE.
Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi frames the release as an extension of a family journey rooted in craft and community: “Our family’s journey with horology has always been built on passion – passion for the craft, for collaboration, and for cultivating appreciation amongst our community of collectors. This special edition reflects our passion for innovation while look forward to building the next chapter of the region’s watchmaking story.”
Ulysse Nardin: Diver [AIR] Seddiqi 75th anniversary edition
Ahmed Seddiqi marks its 75th anniversary with a limited-edition of Ulysse Nardin’s Diver [AIR], currently enjoying its status as the world’s lightest mechanical dive watch. The watch represents the latest step in two decades of innovation – Ulysse Nardin created its first waterproof instrument in 1893, with its first dive watch in 1964. It launched the Aqua Perpetual in 2001, the only dive watch water-resistant to 200 metres that also housed a perpetual calendar. In 2021, the Maison introduced the Diver X Skeleton, a timepiece that revolutionised the industry by merging skeletonisation with a professional dive watch. The Diver [AIR] unleashed at Watches and Wonders 2025 is the latest line in its impressive underwater portfolio- a hybrid of skeleton watchmaking and a professional dive watch.
In this Seddiqi edition, that idea is expressed through a minimal skeleton dial punctuated by rhodium-finish indexes and black hands, all lifted by vibrant blue Super-LumiNova® accents. The blue theme is carried across the second hand, bezel indexes on the CarbonFoil bezel, crown protectors, elastic strap, and side plate, creating a cohesive, unmistakable signature. Performance is of course the other half of the story. The watch is water-resistant to an impressive 200 metres, yet is engineered to an astonishing 52 grams – including the strap. Power comes from the UN-374 Manufacture calibre, built in 90% recycled titanium, with an oversized silicon balance wheel, upcycled silicon escapement, with a 90-hour power reserve. Around it, the case construction continues the theme of conscious environmentalism: a 90% recycled titanium middle case, Nylo®-Foil side parts (recycled fishing nets and upcycled carbon fibres), and a CarbonFoil bezel made from upcycled carbon fibre. Turn it over and the open mineral glass caseback reveals the skeletonised calibre, finished with a personalised 75th Anniversary transfer.
