Girard-Perregaux’s celebration of 230 years of watchmaking legacy continues today with the announcement of the Laureato Absolute Ti 230. In line with new identity of the Laureato in contemporary materials the Laureato Absolute Ti 230 is forged in — as suggested in its name — in titanium. And grade 5 titanium no less to accommodate for the various facets of the case that are polished to complement alternating brushed surfaces.
The watch is being offered with two dial color options: a blue and grey. Both dials feature a sandwich construction with the colored upper layer featuring apertures serving as hour makers. The lower layer is thereafter loaded with a luminescent material such that when the two layers are combined you have the apertures on the upper layer serving as luminescent hour markers.
The movement chosen to power the Laureato Absolute Ti 230 is the calibre GP03300-1060 offering time indications and a date aperture at 6 o’clock. The movement features 46 hours of power reserve.
For the first month of its launch, the blue dial version will be sold exclusively through watch retailer, Wempe’s network of boutiques in Germany, as well as their flagship stores in New York and London. Thereafter, the watch will be made available through all of Girard-Perregaux’s retail partners and e-commerce website. The grey version, however will be available from the get go through all of the brand’s retail network and e-commerce website. Both varieties are limited to 230 pieces each.
