We kick off 2023 with the first fair of the year, LVMH Watch Week, its fourth edition being held in Singapore at the luxurious and scenic Capella Hotel.
Wei visits the BVLGARI villa and speaks to Antoine Pin, Managing Director of the luxury giant’s watch division, to take a first look at this year’s novelties. We go up close with a selection of gem-set ladies watches that showcase the brand’s watchmaking and high jewellery expertise. The Divas’ Dream collection highlights a botanical theme with a playful, lifelike element – mobile petals that surround the 33mm rose gold watch face. The Divas’ Dream Mosaica recreates the fan-shaped motif of the mosaics found at the Baths of Caracalla, with colored sapphires that display a subtle gradient effect.
Not forgetting BVLGARI’s serpentine icon, the Serpenti Tubogas Infinity combines the geometric form of the serpent with the complex Tubogas bracelet, now upgraded in a modular construction and set with diamonds for the very first time. The epitome of the collection is a diamond-set minute repeater that has the same base movement found in the Octo Finissimo, and a perfect example of the level of high watchmaking that will pervade the ladies collections in future.
Last but not least, we present the Revolution Watch of the Year to the well-deserved, impossibly thin Octo Finissimo Ultra and cannot wait for what BVLGARI has in store for us this year!
