Certina Sea Turtle

Swatch Group watch brand Certina hosted a celebratory dinner at the London Aquarium in June, to showcase its partnership with the Florida-based Sea Turtle Conservancy. The event was hosted by President of the STC charity David Godfrey and Certina Brand CEO Adrian Bosshard.

Fans of the brand know that its logo since the 1960s is a turtle shell, attesting to the ruggedness of the DS case, which made the watch a favourite with divers. In 2017, Certina begin to help ensure the survival of these creatures as a partner of the Sea Turtle Conservancy. The company has launched a watch in tribute to this partnership, choosing London as it is the “current epicentre of environmentally forward thinking, as well as the starting location of the ‘Last Straw’ campaign, all of which champion the reduction of plastic to help save our ocean’s wildlife.”

The DS Action Diver Sea Turtle Conservancy watch is a handsome 43mm automatic, with special logo on the caseback. It is water-resistant to 300m and meets ISO 6425 standards. Power reserve is 80 hours.
