Bulgari introduces new additions to their Divas’ Dream and Octo Finissimo family of watches at LVMH Watch Week Dubai 2020.

We start off this half of the list of the novelties from Bulgari, at LVMH Watch Week Dubai 2020, with the Divas’ Dream collection. An icon of the Roman jewelers, which exemplifies their narrative as the Jeweler of Time, in 2020 the collection is getting a new addition to their Divas’ Dream Minute Repeater watch, now with a malachite dial.

The watch, which was introduced in 2018 and still lays claim to the title of thinnest ladies’ minute repeater to date, is the third iteration of the timepiece after the initial Urushi lacquer dial and aventurine dial versions.

The movement that powers the Divas’ Dream Minute Repeater is still the BVL 362 (at 3.12mm thickness) and results in a case that’s just 9.4mm in thickness.

Other additions to the Divas’ Dream collection at LVMH Watch Week include time-only pieces with an extravagant natural peacock feather dial and another with a lapis lazuli dial.

Octo Finissimo

The main event for Bulgari at the LVMH Watch Week Dubai 2020, is the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater, for the first time in a traditional precious metal: rose gold. The groundbreaking minute repeater has thus far been seen cased in titanium and carbon, both measuring in at a height of 6.85mm.

Given the tolerances of gold, it is understood that it would be difficult to achieve a case of the same height. In this regard, it is highly commendable that the sandblasted rose gold Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater is a mere 0.05mm thicker, at 6.90mm.

The timepiece retains the skeletonized dial, for better resonance and other stylized details that we are familiar with when it comes to the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater.

Other additions to the Octo Finissimo focus on the Octo Finissimo automatic in satin-polished steel with a satin-polished steel bracelet, a black sandblast-polished ceramic piece with a sandblasted polished ceramic bracelet and, lastly, a satin-polished rose gold variation on an alligator strap.
