Breitling has just unveiled a trio of limited-edition chronographs in new Top Time Racing and Top Time Martini Racing® chronographs, reviving the era’s most unconventional details in watches: a striking cushion case, distinctive “squircle” subdials (not quite square, not quite round), and a distinctive dashboard-style dial that made the originals such coveted collector pieces.

When Willy Breitling introduced the Top Time in the transformative 1960s, he aimed to launch a chronograph for a new generation that lived life in the fast lane. These new editions honor that freewheeling spirit while incorporating contemporary watchmaking technology.

In fact, motorsports have been intertwined with Breitling’s story since the earliest days of the automobile, from rally courses to high-speed circuits where it’s all about shaving seconds and chasing records. “The Top Time collection is known for its bold chronographs,” explains Breitling CEO Georges Kern. “With these latest limited editions, we put a modern spin on classic 1960s designs, returning this watch to what it’s all about: timing races and measuring speed.”

For rally enthusiasts, the Top Time Racing models capture the essence of what makes the sport so compelling — the grit and glory of days-long battles against time, terrain, and the elements. Two models are available in either a striking black-and-white combination with a beige leather strap, or a vibrant green-and-white dial paired with a matching green perforated leather racing strap (reminiscent of vintage driving gloves).

And last but not least, a new special edition marks Breitling’s first-ever collaboration with the Martini Racing team. This special chronograph channels the high-speed energy of the track with Martini Racing’s signature blue, light blue, and red stripes dominating the dial.

The dashboard motif at the heart of each dial is inspired by the functional design element taken straight from the Top Time archives. On the caseback, the Top Time Martini Racing edition is distinguished with “One of 750” and “Martini Racing” engravings.

For all Top Time B01 racing watches, they each feature a sleek 38mm cushion-shaped case that houses Breitling’s flagship COSC-certified Manufacture Caliber 01. With a substantial 70-hour power reserve and easy-to-operate mushroom pushers designed for quick, instinctive timing, these chronographs live up to their racing pedigree.
