Bart and Tim Grönefeld grew up in a watchmaking family, and together they have propelled their eponymous brand to enormous success in independent watchmaking and haute horlogerie. Here’s a closer look at the 1941 Grönograaf launched last year, which is the brand’s first chronograph. The 40mm 1941 Grönograaf in steel (188-piece limited edition) or tantalum (25-piece limited edition) is powered by the G-04, which has an instant-jumping minutes counter, soft reset system and 53 hours of power reserve. Grönefeld has previously won GPHG awards for its tourbillon and remontoire watches, and the 1941 Grönograaf won the 2022 GPHG Chronograph Watch Prize.
