Introducing the Chronomètre Ferdinand Berthoud FB 1.3
But more than the visual effect that the Chronomètre Ferdinand Berthoud FB 1 bore when the world of horology gazed upon it, what really captivated the mind was the movement that was created for the watch. The Caliber FB-T.FC is truly a master piece. A COSC certified movement, with a magnificent tourbillon beating at 21,600vph (3 hertz), regulated by an even more impressive chain and fusée, constant force mechanism — to call it a triumph, would be an understatement. But don’t take our word for it. Take the word of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève, which named the watch the winner of the “Aiguille d’or” Grand Prix award, in 2016.
Today, Karl-Friedrich Scheufele and Ferdinand Berthoud have announced a third version of the Chronomètre Ferdinand Berthoud FB 1. This time in platinum with grey ceramic lugs and the same cemaric used for the medallion on the watch’s crown. Naturally, this too, will be limited to 50 pieces. Which means, the world receives another 50 pieces of that incredible movement now — the superb Caliber FB-T.FC.
