H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly Edition
It’s been a long time since brands could get away with simply slapping the name or endorsement of a globally recognised sports star on a watch and expect audience to buy into it blindly. These days, partnerships have to make sense. Consumers expect to see a genuine synergy between the watchmaker and their chosen superstar. These relationships require deeper roots than ever before, and the savvy brand leader will spend years tilling the earth to ensure a flourishing success when an ambassador is added to the roster.
This is evident in the case of H. Moser & Cie. As an avant-garde independent brand, responsible for some of the most arresting pieces of recent years, including, of course, the modern classic that is the Streamliner collection, H. Moser & Cie.’s association with Formula 1 seems entirely natural. Formula 1 itself is often viewed as the innovation lab of the automotive world, where new ideas that push the boundaries of current technology are deployed on machines that, in many ways, seem closer to jet planes or rocket ships than road-worthy cars. However, these developments have a real-world impact on the vehicles we regular folk drive every day. What starts out as a barely possible vision plucked from the fringes of the most creative imaginations eventually trickles down to the mainstream. Watchmakers like Moser play exactly the same role within their industry. They look beyond the here and now, invest millions in new functional and aesthetic developments, for the benefit of not just their buyers but also the watch industry en masse.
H. Moser & Cie.’s successful partnership with the Alpine Formula 1 team has already seen them nominated for the GPHG awards in 2025 in not one but two categories. The more “traditional” H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Alpine Drivers Edition is in the running for chronograph gong, while the H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Alpine Mechanics Edition Ana-Digi watch competes in the hotly-contested Petite Aiguille division. Being able to sensibly refer to the Alpine Drivers Edition as “traditional” demonstrates exactly how far Moser is willing to go to break new ground. The recent release of the Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly Edition feels like a natural continuation of this association and elevates the Formula 1 line with the use of precious metal and an ultra-complicated, irrefutably elegant movement.

H. Moser & Cie. teams up with Formula 1 superstar Pierre Gasly for a striking special edition of the brand’s Streamliner Tourbillon model
The H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Tourbillon Pierre Gasly Edition is crafted from 5N Red Gold. Two versions of this 40 mm watch are available. Reference 6805-0410 comes on a textured chocolate brown rubber strap that picks out the warm brown fumé of the dial, — a first for a 40 mm Streamliner model, marking a subtle but significant evolution in the collection’s design language. This addition is no coincidence: a rubber strap has long been one of the most requested features from the brand’s collectors and enthusiasts, making this debut as natural as it is anticipated.

Reference 6805-0411 is mounted on a solid 5N Red Gold bracelet in the iconic style for which the Streamliner family is perhaps best known. Pleasingly, for such a refined piece, both references are water resistant to 120 meters — more than sufficient for worry-free daily wear. Combined with an automatic movement boasting a 72-hour power reserve, the watch offers both elegance and everyday functionality.
At six o’clock, an aperture in the dial reveals the flying tourbillon, rotating once every sixty seconds and thus fulfilling the dual function as the going seconds indicator. Powered by the in-house HMC 805 caliber an evolution of the tried and tested HMC 804 — it draws on Moser’s extensive technical foundation to ensure reliability and performance are guaranteed.
Gasly himself is an F1 stalwart. The 29-year-old Frenchman has been racing at this level since 2017, when he drove for the Toro Rosso Team. In 2019, he moved to Toro Rosso’s parent team, Red Bull Racing, before switching back to Toro Rosso (now renamed AlphaTauri) and securing his first F1 win at the 2020 Italian Grand Prix. In 2023, he earned a seat at Alpine and thus began his relationship with Moser.

When the watchmaker and driver resolved to work on a limited edition model together, Gasly was keen to be closely involved in the design process. His preference for warmer, subtler tones influenced the decision to use the “chocolate fumé” dial (as named by Gasly himself), and the inviting red gold case.
The strap-mounted version (reference: 6805-0410) is limited to 100 pieces. Meanwhile, the all-gold version on the bracelet (reference: 6805-0411) is limited to just ten pieces. Reservations for both can be made online via the official website.
The watch heads of the two limited runs are identical but for one thing: on the bracelet version, the ten o’clock index is a faceted ruby as opposed to an applied rose gold stick marker that matches the other hour indicators. The significance of the number 10 is that it is the car number Gasly has carried with him his entire career, making this touch (and the limitation number of the full-gold 6805-0411 itself) extremely personal.
