Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Revolution Limited Edition
Debuted at Baselworld 2016, the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Revolution Limited Edition celebrates 10 years of Revolution Magazine. The watch pays homage to the design and dimensions of the original 1953 Fifty Fathoms, but with a wholly modern approach, incorporating ceramics and amorphous metals. It adopts the same vintage-style hands, sharply defined case contours, and a luminescent dot on its notched, unidirectional bezel as a reference for divers.
The Roman numerals and hour indices are filled with Liquidmetal against a dark grey anthracite dial. Housed in a sandblasted steel case, the 38mm size is perfect for a unisex fit and dressed in a chocolate brown fabric strap.

The Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe was inspired by the exploits of Jacques Piccard, the Swiss explorer who descended into the Mariana Trench in 1960 in the bathyscaphe Trieste with fellow explorer Don Walsh.
The self-winding movement is the cal. 1150, equipped with a silicon balance spring and two series-coupled barrels that offer an incredible 100 hours of power reserve.
The watch pays homage to the design and dimensions of the original 1953 Fifty Fathoms, but with a wholly modern approach, incorporating Blancpain's materials expertise with ceramics and amorphous metals.
