Speedmaster Apollo 13 Silver Snoopy
$ 59,395 Sold Out
The Speedmaster went to the moon in 1969, earning it the nickname "Moon watch". The original watch with the tachymeter on its bezel was the only timepiece to pass the rigorous tests to be certified for use by NASA.
The Silver Snoopy features one of the coolest dials Omega has ever conceptualized. The monochromatic colour scheme on the dial livens up with references to the Peanuts comic with quotes and an image of Snoopy at 9 o'clock, that has been rendered in Super-LumiNova. The Silver Snoopy was also the first Omega to feature a luminous tachymeter engraved to a ceramic bezel.This watch from the Revolution Pre-Owned collection has been sourced from Watchfinder & Co, the pre-owned watch specialist.

TO THE MOON AND BACK
Back in 1970, the astronauts of Apollo 13 awarded Omega with the Silver Snoopy award for their outstanding service contributing to flight safety and mission success. 45 years on, the brand debuted this particular Silver Snoopy to commemorate their achievement.

OMEGA'S WHITE HORSE
White dials have generally been limited to special edition white gold Speedmasters. This configuration was only reserved for a handful of anniversary pieces and special projects, among which includes the Alaska Project watch.

ALL ABOUT THE BEAGLE
Over on the caseback is a visual appeal reserved just for your viewing off the wrist. The famous beagle is depicted on a handcrafted silver medallion against a background of blue enamel with flecks of silver representing a starry sky.

TIME IN SPACE
Powered by the caliber 1861, it is a modern updated version based on its predecesor, the original 861 that went to the moon. The movement has a rhodium-plated finish, making it no less different than the robust movement that kept time ticking outside of earth.
