Hanhart 417 Chronograph Edition No. 2 "Copperhead" for Revolution and The Rake

$ 2,050

  • The Hanhart Copperhead is an evolution of Revolution and the Rake’s critically acclaimed Bronze 417, released in 2020, which was itself a tribute to the original Hanhart 417 ES, made from 1956 to 1958, and worn by none other than the legendary Steve McQueen.

    Like our previous edition, the case is bronze, satin-polished and water-resistant to 100 metres. This time around, we used a bronze alloy with a higher aluminium content, which will age slower, but still gracefully. There’s also been a change to the dimensions; it measures 39mm — just like the original. The heritage look is continued thanks to the dark brown, bund-style calf strap. The knurled crown and coin-edge bezel will create some beautiful patina contrast over time. What really sets the Hanhart Copperhead apart is the dial, a vivid brown sunray, that ties into the case. The hour markers and bronze hands (including the seconds hand) are coated with stark white C3 Super-LumiNova, for maximum visibility. And just like the original, the dial features ‘antimagnetic’ and ‘shockproof’ text, backed up by the soft-iron inner cage surrounding the manually-wound Sellita SW510, which offers an impressive 58 hours of power reserve. The Copperhead package is completed with Hanhart’s distinctive leather watch roll.
