"GHOST CAPTAIN"
In doing more than merely emulating the dive watch of the 60s, we reimagined the Captain Cook with an addition of vintage charm – the allure of the faded bezel. Dive watches that are constantly exposed to the sun and seawater naturally transform black bezels into weathered rings, evoking a sort of hallucinatory, ethereal appearance in a ghost-like grey. Thus gave birth to the Captain Cook "Ghost Captain" Limited Edition Dive Watch by Rado for The Rake & Revolution.

HIGH TECH MEETS VINTAGE
In paying homage to its 1962 original, the watch also carries modern-day features that celebrate Rado's foray into material innovation. Case in point, the HyperChrome bezel which utilises the brand’s high-tech injection-moulding process for ceramic. It also replaces the original acrylic with a highly appealing and totally scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal.

THE CASE
Powered by the automatic-winding ETA C07.6II movement, it provides 80 hours of power reserve and displays the red date aperture at 3 o'clock. The calibre is housed in a stainless steel case, with a decorative stamp of three sea horses on the caseback, and a special "Revolution" engraving.

SIGNATURE ANCHOR
Popping against the neutral canvas, a red window features the signature anchor in the Rado logo at 12 o’ clock which rotates when the watch is moved about, a detail that is found on all Rado automatic models and a feature that was developed to protect the brand against being copied.
