1965 Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Ref. ST105.012
Sold Out
The Speedmaster went to the moon in 1969, earning it the nickname "Moon watch". The original watch with the tachymeter on its bezel was the only timepiece to pass the rigorous tests to be certified for use by NASA.
And here we have it. The Moonwatch ST105.012 is dated from 1965 and is powered by the original calibre 321. It bears a faded ghost DON tachymeter bezel with a Dot diagonal 70 / Dot over 90 indicators. The black dial is a B3 spaced T dial with every single marker perfectly intact and aged to a ravishing salted caramel color. While the C2 Baton Flat hands are not original, the applied tritium lume have wonderfully aged into an appealing shade of yellowish orange. The case is in good condition with mild scratches on the body and pushers. This watch comes with two complimentary straps: a vintage JB CHAMPION steel mesh bracelet, and a long NASA watchband (Apollo Program version).

IT'S FROM 1965
And that means it's the official watch of NASA. For most of us, this is as close as we can get to Neil Armstrong, being the actual watch that he wore to the moon — a 105.012-65.

MOVING LEGEND
It is powered by the legendary caliber 321, the Lemania movement that was the base of the 2130. The column wheel activated chronograph movement is one of the most reliable and beautiful movement to ever be conceived.

GHOSTLY CHARM
Our watch has the correct Dot diagonal 70 / Dot over 90 bezel for a pre-1970 Speedmaster. Further it is a ghost DON bezel meaning that over the years it has faded from black to an amazing silver grey that still bears distinct tachymeter markings.

DRESSING IT UP
We'd also love for you to wear it like a Gemini or Apollo astronaut would. It comes with the exceptionally rare JB Champion steel mesh bracelet, with the addition of two NATO straps, Velcro and Horween Cordovan.
